In the days of growing application portfolios, Agile and DevOps, application security is becoming more important than ever, but manual approaches to this area will not be able to match the speed of development. Just like for functional testing, automation is key. There are multiple techniques available, including static and dynamic application security testing (SAST and DAST).

In this workshop, you will be able to get some hands-on experience in performing DAST on a Java application, using one of the leading products in this field: Micro Focus Fortify WebInspect. During the workshop, we will first cover the basics of performing a successful scan, and then proceed with more advanced scenarios of scan tuning.

Please bring your own laptop. WebInspect needs Windows, with 8 GB RAM minimum and 16 GB RAM recommended.
